Stefan Jasienski's Sacred Heart of Jesus

Stefan Jasienski was a Polish officer imprisoned at Auschwitz during the Holocaust. Using his fingernails, he carved sacred images of the Crucifixion and the Sacred Heart into his prison walls to meditate on while he bore his own cross.
